Adobe Acrobat has encountered an unknown error

Hi, I have browsed this forum for same issue, it seems a lot of people have it, but NONE of the solutions worked for me. Out of nowhere it started happening today. I did try to install my old printer and instal drives and I wonder if that had anything to do with it. I have spent about 3 hours trying to trouble shoot and do all suggestions: print to PDF, save as sp file, convert to word, safe opening, etc. I tried it all. The file is being recognized as a scanned file, which is not true. I ended up emailing the file to personal computer and was able to edit without any issues. With that said, what is causing this error? How can I fix it? Because I work in PDFs every day and this is not feasible.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

What is the version of the OS and the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 24.02.20857 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here (https://adobe.ly/3L8nkZC)

If it still dosn't work, please collect the Adobe CC logs (https://adobe.ly/463WRWN) and the Procmon logs (Win Only) (https://adobe.ly/45KmYBR)  and share them via any cloud storage. Just upload the log file to the cloud and generate the link and share that link with us for further investigation.
