Question

Adobe Acrobat on M1 Silicon Macs - Rosetta ?

Hi

I'm being prompted to install Rosetta on an M1 iMac when I try to install Acrobat from CC Installer.

What's the latest on this ? Does it install without Rosetta ? Some posts say it runs natively, others say not.

Please clarify.

Hi @Christine Willis

++adding more details here

Acrobat and Acrobat Reader support Apple devices with Apple Silicon M1 processors. You can now choose to run Acrobat and Acrobat Reader in either native Apple Silicon mode or the Rosetta emulation mode.

Please refer to this helpful article here https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/apple-silicon-m1-processor-support.html

Thanks,

Installers often need Rosetta. Doesn't affect whether the app needs Rosetta.

I can say that the current version of Acrobat is capable of running native on M1 (but I don't know if it does so by default).
