Adobe Acrobat opens then immediately closes

New Here ,
Jul 15, 2023 Jul 15, 2023

Jul 2023 - Windows 11 brand new PC.

I can open Acrobat, but it will immediately close itself after a few seconds. The grey sign-in box shows up for one second and disappears before Acrobat closes itself.

Everything is up to date. I tried creating a feature lockdown registry key. And I tried installing and reinstalling.

Please help. Thanks!

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that

What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 23.03.20244 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau...

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Win or enable the root account in MAC and try using the application there and check.

Also, go through the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/troubleshoot-system-errors-freezes-windows.html

Regards

Amal

I'm having the same issue. There is no time to check the version. It closes within a few seconds, however, CC shows it as the most recent version - especially since it was just reinstalled moments ago.

Launching as Admin yields this error,
