Adobe Acrobat - Prepare Form

Last week I was able to use prepare form on my PDFs and they became fillable and worked properly. I try to do that now and it doesn't seem to be working. I have uninstalled the program and tried again. I get the same results.

I have tried everything I can think of and cannot find a solution. Was there an update recently that may have a bug?

Well, the fields show when you use 'Prepare form' tool, so what exactly is the issue?

If the problem is that you don't see fields outside 'Prepare form' tool, there can be few things, turn on fields highlight, check that fields are not set to read only.

Well, the problem, exactly, is that when I'm working on the form, it populates. However, when I preview or close, the form does not populate. I have looked at settings, including read-only, which is not checked. Again, it worked just fine last week and I have been using this tool for years and have never come across this issue.
