I have the same issue, unable to combine word docs. those docs can be converted to pdf and combined but that is not a feasible way. it was all working until last year and has stopped working for few months now.

the version of adobe i am using is adobe acrobat 2017.

Look under Help - About Adobe Acrobat and post the exact version number, please.

I think it’s from either a windows update or my it guys security software
