Adobe Acrobat Pro began failing to email PDF

Hello, last week and all the weeks prior I've been able to create a PDF in one of the many Adobe CC apps I have, then click on the little email icon and it sends the PDF to my MacMail Email app.

That ended last week. I contacted live support and your colleague went through removing and adding back the application. Still to no avail. I watch Acrobat *attempt to go through the motions--and then fails.

Again, this is a one week old anomaly. 

I have checked and double-checked and triple-checked the correct configurations for my webmail (comcast), which again--I have been using for years. 

 

Mac Mini (1 year old) M1 Chip

16gigs RAM

OS 12.6.2 

What next?

    I'm having the same problem on my Mac.... how did you fix it? It wants to default to sending files from the Adobe Cloud.

    I am also having this same issue.  I would prefer to share a hard copy of the document.  I signed out and back in to my adobe acrobat pro with no avail.

    Hello, Adobe sent me the instructions that worked for me. I'm sharing here:

     

    Please download and run the Acrobat cleaner tool :

    https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/AcroCleanerMac.dmg
     
    Once done please reboot the computer and download the below version of Acrobat:

    https://trials.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/APRO/Acrobat_HelpX/osx10/Acrobat_DC_Web_WWMUI_1014.dmg
     
    They then asked me to sign into my CC and check and sure enough, it worked. I didn't have to "add" a new email, I just kept the "default" which is my main email account and it has worked. Good luck!
     
    P.S. I wonder if it was the M1 chip?

    As you have mentioned, "I've been able to create a PDF in one of the many Adobe CC apps" could you please let us know if you are creating PDFs from applications other than Acrobat?

    Would you mind sharing the screenshot of the option you are referring to as the email icon? 

    Share the complete step-by-step workflow you do.

    Share the Acrobat and OS version numbers.

    Hello, thanks for the followup.

    1. I've had Adobe CC full Suite since the start of CC and long before.

    2. I started on Photoshop 1.0, Illustrator 88, inDesign 1.0, etc., so I'm a "long time Mac user"

    3. I've been emailing my PDFS since it became a feature, so out of nowhere, Acrobat stopped emailing my PDFs.

     

    Mac Mini 2021 (a year old, actually)

    16 Gigs Ram

    1T storage

    OS Monterey 12.6.1 (I've got several projects in the process of completion, so waiting to update my OS)

    ALL Adobe CC apps relating to graphic design and web are installed.

     

    The chat agent went to my computer, removed files, library items, ALL the Apps, and reinstalled everything, including Acrobad DC.

    I was asked to restart, which I did. I tried to email using the right hand icon on the top and it failed. I then went to the preferences/email setup.

    Using the specific instructions from my email provider, which I've always had, and never changed the configurations--it failed to stick. Every time I opened up the prefs, my password was missing.

    No warning--just failure, so I have no error message to show you--unless there is a log on my computer that I am not aware of.

     

    So, this most recent venture was my attempting again and again to re-submit the credentials and the specs for setting it up.

    I want to use my email address I use for all my clients so when it is emailed, they immediately know it's there. 

     

    Latest anomaly: I now have NO icon to click to generate email.

     

    Every time I type in my password in the preferences form, click save my password, then close out, I come back and it's empty.

    Now, NO icon to even email.

     

     

    I'm completely baffled.

    P.S. If I'm working on a React Website using VSCode at Port 5500 and Chrome, could that be affecting the email port out from Acrobat?

    Hello, I want to report back that I followed some instructions, downloaded an acrobat "cleaner", reinstalled Adobe Acrobat and hurray! My email icon is back on my app--and when I click on it, it embeds my PDF into my default email. Thanks for the help--I'm glad to be back to normal!
