Question

Adobe Acrobat Pro DC for Windows

Can anyone please help.  A few years ago, I purchased the Licensed version of Adobe Acrobat DC for Windows.  It has worked great until a few months ago, and I started having issues. I contacted Adobe Live support.  I agreed for the support person to take contol of my pc and supposedly "fix" my issue.  To make a long story short, what she did (without my knowledge) was delete my Licensed version and install the online reader version.  When I realized this, and inquired, I was told I couldn't use my Licensed version anymore and I had to go to the online version.  I am livid to say the least. The online version does not have all the capabilities I had with the Pro DC version.   ALL I want is my licensed version of Adobe Acrobat DC back!  I DO NOT want to use an online version.  I DO NOT want to pay a monthly fee, and I DO NOT want my documents to be stored in Adobe Cloud!  I still have all of my licensing information.  What are my options here?  Can anyone advise and help? Thanks!

That is really outrageous. Unfortunately, it's not the first time we hear stories like this... But it is fixable.

The issue is most likely that what you bought in the past was called Acrobat DC at the time, but now that means something else (great naming scheme, right?). The DC name is now only used for subscriptions, not "perpetual" licenses, which is what you have. You need to find out the exact version number you purchased of Acrobat and then run that installer and enter your serial number for it to work again. If you bought it directly from Adobe it should appear under your account on Adobe.com in the My Products section (or something like that).

Thank You SO much!  So would the version I purchased be explained in the Product Code: Acrobat Professional ESSD? would this be my version?  I'm not the most tech savvy person,  as you can tell.
