Adobe Acrobat Pro encryption of PDF

Question

I encrypted and password protected a pdf. I sent to my staff. I encrypted, password protected, restricted printing, editing, and copying in the advanced tab. I sent to my staff. One employee forwarded the document unencrypted, no password, and no restrictions. He stated that the document became unencrypted when he downloaded it and uploaded it.

Is this a problem with the Adobe Pro? How can someone change the encryption and password protection?

Is there an email or phone number for Adobe customer service?

It's not a problem with Acrobat, but with many other PDF viewers out there. Some of them will simply ignore encryption, others will strip it entirely. Adobe can't do anything about that. But if you want better security apply a File-Open password as well (different from the File-Edit one, of course). That will stop most of these applications from stripping the security, either on purpose or not, as it encrypts the entire file, not just set a key that says that it's encrypted and trust that the viewing application will handle it correctly.
