Adobe Acrobat Pro - Error messages trying to read documents

I have a Mac Pro with Sonoma 14.5 OS. It's a new issue but I can no longer read pdfs I've either created or sent to me. It appears as if Adobe's Ai assistant (which I did not request or want to use) created some type of bug. Here's a screen capture of the error issue. I need immediate help because I can't see ANY of my  pdfs after opening. The screen freezes up and I literally can't do my work. I have Adobe pro paid subscription.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 24.02.2089x installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to logout of the application, reboot the computer and re-login with the same Adobe ID and see if that helps.

You may also try to turn off the AI feature, go to preferences (Ctrl, cmd+K) > Generative AI > Uncheck 'Enable Generative AI feature in Acrobat' > Click OK and reboot the application and see if that works.

Let us know how it goes.
