Adobe Acrobat Pro keeps crashing 5-10 seconds after launching

I've tried installing the newest update, and it won't accept it. It crashes before I can even perform any diagnostics.

I'm using Mac OS Sierra, version 10.12.6

"any update links for InDesign Version 8.0"

I don't know, you should ask in the InDesign forum

Hi JR Boulay,

Have updated to 10.1.6 (the same as my other mac uses which has no problems) and it seems to have worked : )

Thanks for your help - Acrobat lives again!

Don't suppose you have any update links for InDesign Version 8.0 running OSX 10.12.6 as it has been struggling lately?

InDesign updates no longer seem to be publicly available, but you can try asking Adobe. But updates won't overcome all the problems you get from upgrading your system while trying to freeze your apps. We will see more and more of this.

Hi, I also have had the same problem with Acrobat, but it only happened recently. I noticed that it quits after 15 seconds every time and mine is one of the last versions which you don't have to pay a subscription for which made me wonder. So I thought is something telling it to quit? So I unplugged my ethernet cable and turned off the wifi on my mac and suddenly Acrobat works fine, no quitting! I know this is not a solution but it seems strange it works OK when NOT connected to the internet, perhaps some of you others could try it. If it works with no internet connection does this mean something or someone is telling it to quit ..... any suggestions Adobe? I have also noticed that InDesign is misbehaving, not sure if it is connected but I will be trying it out when disconnected from the internet.

Hey there,

++adding on to the expert's question.

Once you confirm which version of Acrobat you are currently working on, you can quit Acrobat and try downloading the patch directly through release notes- https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html

If it still doesn't help, then we'd recommend to run the cleaner tool and remove existing version: https://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html?22 and start a fresh installation.

Thanks,

Akanchha
