Adobe Acrobat Pro - Remember Tool Pane Settings

How do I make Acrobat Pro remember my tool pane settings?  I am using the most recently released version and it is up to date.

I am getting really tired of having to reset my tools constantly, multiple times a day. This is a MASSIVE waste of my time.

If we can't save default tools of our choice I think Adobe is absolutly incorrect in thinking they know best which tools I want to use. Seriously, you have this for the free version but you remove it in the highly expensive paid version?

If you don't mind me asking for some clarification...

Is Acrobat not remembering the icons/tools in your panel on the right, and always shows a default (not customized) set? Or are you referring to the tools available in each toolset? Or maybe the Quick tools?

My best,

Dave

You can create your own Custom tool set....

1.  Go to the tools tab

2.  Select Create Custom tool,  add the tools you want to your Custom tool set

3. You can add your Custom tool set as a shortcut to show in the right hand pane, when you select it your tools will appear at the top.

No. That is not what is wanted. We do not want a huge list of tools across the top of the screen. If I want Edit, OCR, Forms and Accessibility on the Tools pane that is what I want AND NOTHING ELSE. I want to be able to click any of those ON THE TOOLS PANE and have the tools appear across the top. I do not want to have to scroll through a long long long long long list of things to find the thing i NEED TO DO.

It seems simple enough: Adobe Pro REMEMBERS the Tools I selected to be on the Tools pane and the next time I open the app it shows me THOSE TOOLS AND ONLY THOSE TOOLS. Is this not GUI 101? Correct me if I'm mistaken.

Hi there,

I hope you are doing well.

When you open a document in Adobe Acrobat, a Quick Action Toolbar is displayed, allowing you to quickly access frequently used tools. You can customize this toolbar to suit your specific needs.

To customize the Quick Action Toolbar:

1. Select Customize from the Quick Action Toolbar.

2. In the "Customize Quick Action Toolbar" dialog that opens, perform the following actions as needed:

  • To add a tool: Select the tool in the right pane and then click the plus (+) icon.
  • To remove a tool: Select the tool and then click the bin (trash) icon.
  • To change the position of a tool: Select the tool and use the up and down arrows to move it to the desired position.
