I've long been a user of Acrobat Professional but with BigSur 11.2 it is saying Adobe needs to provide an upgrade for my iMac.

Issues with flashplayer on Big Sur also

Big Sur and Catalina were designed to scrap all old apps (older than 2019, some more recent ones). Your Acrobat 8 is long, long dead. Acrobat Pro DC is the current version, subscription only, or Acrobat Pro 2020 (perpetual license). Be warned that Apple are expected to scrap all of today's apps in a couple of years, subscription might be better value.

You say you're a long time subscriber; this might mean you can run the current version, but were running an old version instead. Nobody, in fact, can install Acrobat 8 today...

Acrobat 8 is also dead. It's time to get a new license...
