Hello,

I am writing to report a critical issue with the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader on a fresh installation of Windows 11. Whenever I launch Acrobat Reader, it causes my computer to crash with a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) error.

Here are the details:

  • Adobe Acrobat Reader version: 2024.005.20320
  • Windows 11 version: 24H2, 10.0.26100.2605
  • Computer: Neo 30a 27 Gen 4 Desktop (ThinkCentre) - Type 12JV

I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Reinstalling Adobe Acrobat Reader
  • Updating Windows 11 to the latest version
  • Checking for driver updates

However, the issue persists. This is a major problem as I rely on Adobe Acrobat Reader for my daily work.

Could you please investigate this issue and provide a solution as soon as possible? I am available to provide any further information you may need.

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

Sincerely

Hi @dkruk,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the experience!

Please help us gather the logs from your machine: https://adobe.ly/3ZUQMcz. Please make sure Procmon is selected. You can upload logs using this tool and share your Unique log ID with us.

Once you do that, as a workaround, would you mind trying the steps:

Right-click the app icon-> click properties-> compatibility-> check the checkbox saying "run the app in compatibility mode"-> select Windows 8-> Apply-> Ok.

Look forward to hearing from you.
