Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Continuous on iMac, Sierra 10.12.3 Not Printing

New Here ,
Mar 23, 2017 Mar 23, 2017

In Googling this issue, evidently Adobe is aware of this and many people in the community have said they are experiencing the same issue of not being able to print a pdf.  I just started experiencing it as I just installed, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Continuous about a month ago.  Here is the information in the "About" section that might help identify what exactly I have:

Architecture: x86_64

Build: 15.23.20056.213124

AGM: 4.30.67

CoolType: 5.14.5

JP2K: 1.2.2.37658

I saw in some discussions from the middle of last year that there was a patch that was thought to fix this printing issue on Macs.  Well, since I downloaded my .dmg file just about a month ago, I would assume I downloaded the latest version with a patch already included.  Well, it doesn't work.  When I downloaded the patch on the Adobe website from last year and attempted to install it, I was directed to choose my application.  I went to my application, but Acrobat Reader DC was greyed out, so that I couldn't choose it.

Can someone please help me to clarify, is there a patch, is this problem still unresolved with seemingly about a year of discussions from Windows and Mac users having this same issue?

Any help would be appreciated

HI jimc27073507,

Sorry for the delay in response.

Could you please try installing the latest patch for Reader and see if that helps?

You may refer to the following link to do so: Install Acrobat and Reader updates

You may also download updates manually from the following link:

Adobe - Adobe Reader : For Macintosh

Is there any error message you are getting when trying to print pdfs?

Are you able to print from other applications?

Awaiting your response.

Shivam

Hi Chittaranjan,

Please try the troubleshooting steps suggested in this link: Troubleshoot PDF printing in Acrobat and Reader

Could you let us know what happens when you try to print pdfs- is there any error message?

Have you tried printing from other applications? Does that work?

What is the dot version of the Acrobat you have on the machine: Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

Thanks,

Shivam
