Hello,
I realize this is probably not the correct placement for this topic, but I could not find a better place to post this question.
I saw that you support a plugin for a spelling dictionary. However, I would like to know if you have a download or plugin that allows me to see the definitions of words. I am a research scientist, use primarily Adobe Reader to read articles, and many times I come across words I have never heard of. It would save me a lot of time if I were able to find the definition much more quickly and efficiently.
If you do not have such a thing, do you have any recommendations as to how I could read articles without the constant hassle of using a separate dictionary?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Sincerely,
Daniel Hartley
There's no such built-in functionality in Acrobat (even the Spell-Check functionality only works with form fields and comments), but this is something that can be achieved using a script, like this one I've developed: Custom-made Adobe Scripts: Acrobat -- Add Tooltip Text to Key Words or Phrases

As another option, you can download the Kindle program for PC, load a PDF and download the dictionary corresponding to your language, by right clicking on a word.
You need an Amazon account

What exactly changes with each new release of Acrobat? It's amazing that a huge corporation has still (2019) not added such an obvious feature to their software.
