Adobe Acrobat Standard Crashing when opening PDF

Im getting these two errors in event view when i try to open a PDF using Acrobat Standard. 

 

The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID 
{2593F8B9-4EAF-457C-B68A-50F6B8EA6B54}
and APPID 
{15C20B67-12E7-4BB6-92BB-7AFF07997402}

Adobe will freeze and say (Not Responding) 

 

The Event ID is 10016 and the Source is DistributedCOM

 

Ive been using the web based version of Acrobat but i would love to be able to open/edit PDFs in the standard version.

If the issue is still occurring, please ensure your copy of Acrobat is updated to the latest version. 

 

Also, try using this tool to capture diagnostic logs for us to review: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-diagnostics.html. This tool also allows you to upload the logs directly to us and share your unique ID of the logs for us to locate those at our end. 

And please share the following details:

  • Acrobat version installed on the machine
  • Operating system name and version
  • Screenshot of the error message or dialog.

I also have a single user having this exact same issue, with the exact same event log entries. Seems to happen only when trying to open a PDF attachment from email.

This is also consistant across my 4 different computers.
