Question

Adobe Acrobat vs. Forms Central

I am looking to create a form in Adobe Acrobat (I have XI Pro at work).

When I attempt to create one in Acrobat XI Pro, it switches to Forms Central. Forms Central seems like a watered down version and I need to create fields that will contain formulas.

Not sure why this is happening? Our IT department is not very helpful. Does anyone know what is happening here and why I cannot connect to Acrobat XI Pro when creating a form?

HELP!

Using forms central is optional though at that time Adobe were pushing it. Look for options when you start editing the form.

Forms Central has been discontinued by Adobe.

Replaced with Adobe Experience Manager / Forms (AEM Forms) https://www.adobe.com/marketing/experience-manager-forms.html which is an online forms service.

If you'd like to make forms with a version of Acrobat, I suggest upgrading to Acrobat DC 2019 which has better, improved forms-building tools.
