adobe acrobat x pro keeps shutting down

Hi,

 

Need help please, I've been using my Windows 8 computer with adobe acrobat x pro but when I downloaded a new HP printer driver everytime I come to open my adobe acrobat x pro I get a message saying "Adobe Acrobat has stopped working" "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available". I tried repairing the instalation and also removing the HP printer drive but nothing has changed. I don't want to uninstall the program as my old boss bought me the program and I can't open anything in Adobe. Help please!
