Adobe Acrobat XI Pro is suddenly extremely slow to launch

All of a sudden my Acrobat XI Pro is slow to open a document, either a pdf that was saved to my hard drive or one that is in the cloud or one that is attached to an email. 

It takes forever to do work now...

I checked for updates - I am fine

I did a "fix" dealing with enhanced security...

But to no avail

Please help
