Adobe acrobat XI Pro license reactivation

New Here ,
Nov 25, 2020 Nov 25, 2020

I have a genuine purchased copy Adobe acrobat XI, It was purchased in 03-10-2013 from adobe online retailer Digital River International. I was using this license bearing serial number- [Serial Number Removed by Moderator] from last seven years on all my personal computers without any issues. Today when I tried to install Adobe acrobat XI on my newly purchased laptop, it is showing activation error saying “The serial number- [Serial Number Removed by Moderator] is already in use by the maximum allowed computers. You need to deactivate another computer within 30 days to use this product”. I tried deactivating the license from other two computers which I possess at present. But the result is same I m not able to activate the license in old as well as well as new laptop. Some of the computers where Adobe acrobat XI was installed previously using same serial number is either formatted or lost and I do not have access to them. Hence, I request any one from communityhelp to solve this issue.

Hi Vinpharmacol

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble.

Adobe Community is a Public platform and it is not recommended to share any personal/product information publicly.

As described, you are unable to activate Acrobat XI on old and new computers. Adobe Acrobat XI is an old and EOL application and not supported on the latest Windows/Mac OS .End of support means that Adobe no longer provides technical support, including product and/or security updates, for all derivatives of a product or product version (localized versions, minor upgrades, operating systems, dot and double-dot releases, and connector products).

Adobe strongly recommends that you update to the latest versions of Adobe Acrobat DC and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. By updating installations to the latest versions, you benefit from the latest functional enhancements and improved security measures.

For more information please look at the help page: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/kb/end-of-support-acrobat-xi-reader-xi.html

Regards

Amal

> also its activation server is no more available.

Unless something changed in the last week, this is absolutely wrong. The activation server for XI still works fine. It's just that Adobe refuses to help people who need an activation count reset. I recommend calling again and insisting on getting help. Do not mention it's for Acrobat XI. If they refuse to help, ask to speak to a supervisor.

Is the activation server still around?   I just got a new laptop and get “The serial number- [Serial Number Removed by Moderator] is already in use by the maximum allowed computers."  Any workaround to get rid of the actiation reminder?

I believe so. Otherwise, you would have gotten a different response.

And there's no other solution (assuming this is for an older version of Acrobat), except for the one described above.
