Community Beginner ,
Oct 28, 2019 Oct 28, 2019

Since the 25th of october we're having these issues on all installed computers at my company.

No error message, adobe acrobat just closes.

I already browsed the forum for similar problems and have tried several "solutions" but for me nothing has worked so far.

not : https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/AcrobatXIcrash.html

not : https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/kb/adobe-acrobat-not-opening-or-crashing-on-launch.html

operating system : windows 10 build 1809

reinstalling doesn't work, re-entering the license didn't work.

adober reader DC has no problems

any other suggestions?

Just tried converting a pdf to MS document (.doc). It works without any issue. You may need to re-install your copy of Acrobat.

You are using end of life software, full of unfixed security issues, for production? I advise getting up to date.

KUDOS to Stefaan_Claes. It worked great. Downloaded the file from https://supportdownloads.adobe.com/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=6259&fileID=6310 , disabled the Adobe Acrobat Update Service in Task Manager (see systemsa93768962 post in replies) and ran the update. So far so good. Thank you Stefaan_Claes !!

When installing the update for Acrobat XI pro i get an error message :

Error1310.Error writing file:E\software

Programs\Adobe\Acrobat\amtlib.dll. Verify you have access to that directory

I am running Windows 10 Home edition on my personal computer.

The issue I am trying to resolve is: Adobe Acrobat Pro XI keeps crashing when opened within 15-20seconds. Was working fine until 2 days ago. A specailist uninstall and reinstalled this for me and still having the issue. Have tried all the other support fixes please help

Acrobat XI is not supported any longer and is getting less and less compatible with Windows 10 with each update to the latter.

If you installed all updates available for Acrobat XI and tried running it in Compatibility Mode with an earlier OS and it's still not working then there's not much more than can be done, I'm afraid. Might be time to consider getting a new version, one that's compatible with the current Operating Systems.

Thanks for your help. The same issue here. After updating to version 11.0.23 here:

https://supportdownloads.adobe.com/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows

it stopped crashing after few seconds. Seems working now.
