Adobe after the realizing they can create a whole new app you need a monthly subscription for instead of just updating the old software.

Just saw this post from another community, thoughts? I feel like a lot of the stuff from illustrater could be incorpated in acrobate for a more functional system.

While I am sad I have to pay $70 a month for this I am happy that the hard working shareholders are getting their cut.

It would appear that you use few of the Illustrator and Acrobat functions and/or that you are not very familiar with these software.
Otherwise you wouldn't be asking this question.

If you want suggesting new features, you should do that at uservoice: https://acrobat.uservoice.com

Illustrator and Acrobat are different applications. I don't think that it would be good to create the bloatware software you are suggesting.

BTW: a PDF file is quite complex and was never used to be edited.

So Close!

Making it easier to edit documents is actually not called bloatware its reffered to, as we in the industry like to call it, a "software update".

Let me know if you need any more clarification!

We in the industry call it the "goldene Eier legende Wollmilchsau" when you incorporate to much functionality in one application. 😉

Consider a PDF file as uneditable. I always go back to the source file, as long as I can. A PDF file was never designed to be modified. That makes it so difficult to edit. Editing is getting better and better, but it's still kind of a last resort operation.
