Adobe Application Manager is missing or damaged issue Acrobat 10 Pro

I downloaded the software installer fpr Acrobat 10 Professional (I bought the software) from my Adobe account page and after install and program launch, I get this error message: "Adobe Application Manager is missing or damaged. Please download a new copy of Adobe Application Manager from www.adobe.com/go/applicationmanager. "

This url is dead.

I tried to the ".. tool to help you at https://adobe.com/go/install-frozen" to not help.

Any ideas?

So frustrated at this issue. I also have Photoshop Elements 10 I can't use.

Thank you Adobe for not caring for prior sales!

Acrobat X is an old and unsupported version, and is not officially compatible with any current OS, so problems are to be expected.
To increase the chances of it to work properly make sure you have all updates installed (up to 10.1.16) and run it in Compatibility Mode with an earlier OS, like Windows 7.

Updates are available here:
ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/win/10.x/
Replace "win" with "mac" if you have the Mac version.
You must use a dedicated FTP client to open the link, it won't work in most browsers.

Try67,

This was working until an Adobe product update or similar got installed a week or two ago resulting in an error message about not having a subscription or my trial was expiring soon etc...

Now I get this new Application Manager not installed etc...

I have an Adobe XI update purchased also that gives same results after the installer runs.

Is the ftp update for any acrobat version or only the 10?

Thank you,

Bob

Acrobat X hasn't been updated in years. Maybe another application was, though.

And yes, the FTP includes updates for all previous versions of Acrobat.
