Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard

I purchased & downloaded the Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard in 2011.

I just found that I can't create a new pdf file, wondering perhaps I need to update the package but then there is no direction for me to do so.

Help from Adobe will be helpful please.

do you have an acrobat version installed?

if so, why can't you create a pdf?

yes, I currently have the package of Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard installed.

As I can remember, I can create a new pdf file from the menu of an open pdf but now there is no such selection in the Create menu.

if you have an open pdf use file>'save as' to create a new pdf from it.
