When dealing with specific products we need to be sure we know what
product you mean. So far you have referred to
* Adobe Reader DC
* Adobe 2020
* Adobe DC
* Adobe Reader
Not one of these is the name of an actual product, leaving us to guess what you mean (and we each guess differently). Adobe don't help, of course. Adobe Reader USED TO be a thing, but was renamed Acrobat Reader in 2015.

I think your real issue is that you want both the free Reader product and paid-for Acrobat product. Certainly this recently changed, so far as I can see this is now impossible with the new 64-bit versions.

You cannot. What is wrong with Acrobat Reader DC for your purposes?

We use Onbase and it works best with a reader. Before we could have both on the same machine. What happen?

You just said, or so I thought, that you already had Reader DC installed. Which "both" are you looking for?

OK, this is a situation. User has Adobe DC insatlled. Now they want to edit files, and I want to install Adobe 2020, but I can't. It was working with both versions installed on same pc for years.

OK. Let's begin by clarifying that Adobe 2020 is not a thing. You're referring to Adobe Acrobat 2020. You currently have Adobe Acrobat DC installed. These for the most part are the same product which is why it doesn't want to let you install Adobe Acrobat 2020 on the same machine as Adobe Acrobat DC. The only difference between the two products is that Adobe Acrobat 2020 is a perpetual license product where Adobe Acrobat DC is a subscription product. I think you might be getting confused. If you only need a reader, then you should install Adobe Acrobat Reader on that machine. That can in fact live on the same machine with Adobe Acrobat DC.

What I need is a Adobe reader to work with a full version, licenced version on same pc.

What you have installed is not Reader, though, it's the full Acrobat DC (according to the text of the screenshot you shared). You can't have that and Acrobat 2020 installed at the same time.

You can have Reader and Acrobat DC or 2020 installed at the same time.

You can. Listen closely. Your first screen shot showed an error indicating that you currently have Adobe Acrobat DC installed. That is the full version that provides editing features. Teh last screen shot you show is Adobe Acrobat Reader which is the free version of the product for only viewing PDF files. It looks like you now do in fact have both versions installed.

Intall the 32bit version of Acrobat Reader from:

https://get.adobe.com/reader/

Then install the 64bit version of Adobe Acrobat 2020Pro (or whatever)

To the rest of you that gave the OP such a hard time over symantics and what he should do, shame on all of you.

Ive worked in the IT industy for 26 years, and there are very compelling reasons why someone could need to install multiple varied versions of the same product family on a single station. Especially in develpment areas, for troubleshooting, Etc.

The fact that Adobe decided this should not ever be a use case for someone, is ridiculous and reeks of Proprietary control and a verticle buisness model that Apple products are notorious for, and Microsoft is getting way to close to Emulating.

We need Open and Accessibly solutions for the things you CANT predict we might need.

So heres the answer for anyone else who needs to solve this kind of issue, which I did today.
