I have Adobe DC, and today for the first time, the image of my signature does not appear when I choose fill and sign.  In fact, nothing appears.  There is just a spinning circle like something is trying to load.  Is there a link or something that I need to fix?

Hi russz,

As per the issue description mentioned above, you are facing issue when trying to use fill and sign, is that correct?

Please try following troubleshooting steps:

1- Reboot the machine once if you haven't already and check if that helps.

2- If that doesn't work, check if an update is available for Acrobat using "Check for updates" option under "Help" menu, reboot the machine after installing update and try again.

3- -If issue still persists, try repairing Acrobat using "Repair installation" option under Help menu ( for Windows OS only), reboot the machine after repair and check.

Also, let us know dot version of Acrobat and the operating system installed on the machine? You may refer to the steps given in this link on how to check the version in Acrobat: Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

Let us know if you need any help.

I am on a Mac and having the same issue with the signature images not loading when I click on the pen icon in "Fill & Sign" toolbar.

Am using Acrobat DC / continuous release / version 2019.008.20080.

Architecture: x86_64

Build: 19.8.20080.306727

AGM: 4.30.81

CoolType: 5.14.5

JP2K: 1.2.2.41572

Mac is 3.2ghz intel core i5 Imac 5K retina display, running OS Sierra 10.12.6.

32GB RAM.

I have tried all the troubleshooting steps above - have restarted, checked version is up to date, and cannot find "repair installation" (does this exist for Mac version?)

I suspect something got messed up when I earlier today used the "adobe sign" tool for the first time instead of "Fill & Sign." The "F&S" tool has not worked since using "A S" tool.

please advise!

Hi Dr,

Sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue.

As you have mentioned, the signature images not loading when you use Fill & Sign in Adobe Acrobat DC.

If you had used the Adobe Sign application to add the signature to a document, that will not affect the sign option in Fill & Sign tool in Acrobat DC.

Could you please confirm if the signature image is not loading or the option is greyed out?

Also, let us know if there is a form field added to the document to add a signature.

If there is a form field, that is the reason you are not able to use the Fill & Sign tool.

You can simply click on the form field and add the signature to the document.

Did you check if this is a case with other documents as well?

It would be helpful if you can share the screenshot and file with us.

For sharing a file, take help of the steps mentioned here How to share a file using Adobe Document Cloud

To share the screenshot, use the steps provided below:

- Click on the insert icon provided in the reply window as shown below:

- An Insert Image window will appear.

- Then click on Insert Image and browse the location where you have saved the screenshot file.

- Select the file and click on Open > Insert Image.
