Hi all! I'm now working at home due to coronavirus that means I cannot go into the office to PDF high res files for printer. I'm hooked up to work and just increase my speed to 300. What are the best adobe distiller to use for MAC  High Sierra version 10.13.6 while I work in  Indesign. It takes almost half hour due to high res images connected to remote location. (the file is drag to the desktop)

Thanks!  maria

With InDesign, you should neverrepeat never be using Distiller to create PDF.

The proper workflow is to export PDF from InDesign using the PDF (print) option and the PDF/X-4 joboptions.

Creating PDF via distillation of PostScript was a wonderful solution for the 1990's but not now. It is a very lossy process that losses live transparency, ICC color management, and often, text searchability!

That having been said, if your InDesign document is referencing images on a remote server and you have low or unreliable internet bandwidth, nothing is going to improve your performance other than separately downloading that imagery and relinking that imagery within your InDesign document to the local copy. Yes, working at home with low bandwidth Ethernet and remote digital assets is very problematic for many if not most of us. 😒

thank you...I'll not use distiller. I'll have to package the pages onto my desktop to speed up PDF process.
