I have Adobe Framemaker and Adobe Acrobat DC.

But when I tried to save as PDF from framemaker, I got a message that I need Adobe Distiller.. Can I download from somewhere? I have a subscription for Framemaker as well as Adobe acrobat DC.

Surely, FrameMaker can export a PDF file natively, not just an EPS file... No?

Try67, back in the days I used FrameMaker, it would export PDF, but internally it would export PostScript, add pdfmarks, and then use Distiller. It seemed to work well, but I had a vague feeling that it now had native exporting to do tagging and things...

No, it cannot be downloaded or installed separately.

1. Please check if you have either of these files

C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\acrodist.exe

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\acrodist.exe

Do you have either (or both) of these?

2. If you have either one, does it start and show a window waiting for something to happen?

3. If you start it first and leave it running, is FrameMaker working?

Thank you. I have the folder C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\

but the acrodist.exe file does not exist..

Ok, that's the 64-bit Acrobat. But I do have acrodist.exe in that folder on my 64-bit Acrobat install.

I'm assuming you have Acrobat Pro, not Acrobat Standard or Acrobat Reader.

The only thing I can think of is trying a repair from the Programs control panel.

Otherwise, worth asking in the Frame forum, it may be something weird about having both.

It should be included with both of these.

Can I download and install it separately?
