Adobe Express files appear in Acrobat! WHY?

Engaged ,
Jan 29, 2025 Jan 29, 2025

G'day

Something strange is happening in my Acrobat Pro!

My Adobe Express files are listed in Acrobat.

I can't see any need for that to happen!

How can I stop that?

Thank you

Hi @joziG:

This is a user-to-user forum and this is a curious situation. I reached out to Adobe on Friday for a specific answer have not yet received a reply so for now, all you have is me.

I played around with it and here are my observations (not particularly helpful) but that's all I have for now:

  1. Creating an Express file stores it on https://www.adobe.com/files/cloud-documents, along with my PDF files, my Photoshop .psdc files and my Illustrator .aic files. I can see all my cloud files there.
  2. When I open Photoshop, I only see .psdc files, when I open Illustrator, I only see .aic files, and when I open Adobe Acrobat Reader, I only see .pdf files. This is the expected behavior.
  3. When I open Adobe Acrobat, the Express files are visible. Since they are not in Adobe Acrobat Reader—PDF files stored as Document Cloud files always appear in both—I'm thinking this is unintended behavior.

You can report it as a bug here: https://acrobat.uservoice.com.

And if I do get an answer to my query from last Friday, I will come back and update this post.
