Adobe forces acrobat update

Adobe really is the worst software company ever.

Why do you force my acrobat to upgrade to the newest version? I disabled auto updates. And I don´t want to work with current adobe software because they is often buggy. I´m not your paid betatester.

Plus the new acrobat totally changes the interface, I don´t have time adjusting to it.

How can I switch back to the earlier version?

Hi Amal, but why do you force such updates at all? It´s catastrophic that Adobe just updates without any chance to appeal. This is no professional handling of updates. On my PC I´ve been searching half an our how to just mark a word in my PDF green. How should people use Adobe professionally if adobe just changes software versions? Professionals (and with your ever increasing prices you only target them) need reliability.

Those interface updates make no sense, and those imposed make even less sense.

From years of using Acrobat, Adobe has gone towards profit instead of caring for the people.  The last good program was Pro XI and now, due to the non backwards compatibility, any new documents made by others on those fill in forms, show as blank on my PC.  If I do a fill in forma and share it, it shows up blank to them.  The new look and the subscription packages are the worst design and very hard on the eyes.  Maybe I'm old but, the DC and on line and the free reader is also the most annoying with pop ups and everything is "premium" upgrade to do this or that.
It's all about the money.  They don't care about us, the users.  So yes, those forced Updates are the worst since their programmers either bypass it to force the update on you, or the updates don't let you block future updates.

They could do profit by just not changing the software and by just not making it worse. But they do. Along the range!

Adobe never cared much about their users, I think. But recently it got other twists. actually it´s since we gave away our "right to own" sofware. I wonder why not more people complain about all those things.

Hi @janh6203790

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble.

We acknowledge that the new Acrobat represents a notable change we are actively working on all the feedbacks and we will address them with the highest priority.

The new experience is an exciting step forward for Acrobat's future. But if it doesn’t suit your needs, you can still revert to the previous experience.

  • Windows: Select the hamburger menu, and then choose Disable new Acrobat.

  • macOS: Go to View > Disable new Acrobat.

To learn more about the new Acrobat, please go through the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/learn-new-acrobat.html

They updated me also. I have one day to make a book accessible. It crashes and wont save sometimes and dont let me use the features as easy. Not cool at all. They took out the old versions to add back to my computer. uggg
