Adobe Freezing - Adobe AcroCEF
Hello,
I am also facing the following: AcroCEF.exe is constantly failing to do its part. They handle multiple integral aspects of the application, such as network interaction and Document Cloud services (Fill and Sign, Send For Signature, Share for View/Review, and so on) Most of my users are facing issues when requesting signatures or sharing PDFs. I willl attach screenshots. It really began around November and more users have started to get affected. I have tried many repair installations and other tricks to try and solve but it always ends up happening again to my users. I have found that I was able to temporarily fix the issue by performing the following:
- Close Adobe
- Open Task Manager as Administrator
- End all the "Adobe AcroCEF" proccesses by selecting them and ending task.
- Retry
I have found this to work however it is a hassle because all our users don't have admin rights to be able to open task manager as administrator to be able to close the Adobe AcroCEF process. You cannot end the task by opening task manager normally. Must be opened as Administrator!


I want this issue escalated immidiately. This issue has been reoccurring to many other Adobe users from what I can see in the community and we need answers from Adobe. I am willing to cooperate as long as I don't get a reply of "updating to the latest" version because I have already done that. We are currently using Version 2021.007.20102
