Adobe keeps crashing when viewing a document

Question

Whenever I open a pdf I get the following pop up on my screen (see below) and I have to force quit Adobe Acrobat. Ive tried reinstalling but nothing works. Any help on how to make this disappear would be appreciated.

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
