I've looked at all the posts and their answers. It's very frustrating. I've done all the suggestions. Still no scrollbar. If I adjust the page size manually -- pull it in or out -- the bars appear for a few seconds then disappear. I can't grab them.
I cannot scroll up/down or side to side. Mac Ventura. Acrobat Pro version 2023.006.20320
Any other ideas or will there be an update to fix?

Finaly fixed in the latest February update!
There is a new Preference under Page Display: Always show Scroll bars!
And also set the preference to Enable scrolling under Page Display, Page Layout, and the we are finally(!) good to go!

Thanks for the work you did with this.
The thing is, when I view a document like your 2-page doc, I don't have the scroll bar. But I guess this is because you have continuous scrolling enabled, and not single page view.

I just spent almost 15 minutes on the telephone with Adobe discussing the non-existing scroll bars on the latest Acrobat update with at least ten team members. Was told they will extend my yearly contract for one month to reimburse a non-functioning routine. And, I was told someone from the technical team will call back and explain why the scroll bars are missing. Let us see what will happen next...

Since the scroll bars WERE there why is it so hard to put them back again?

Just want to pile on with everyone else that removing the scroll bar for a "modern scrolling experience that...eliminates the need for excessive space" was an absolute garbage "update". Please restore this basic function ASAP!

What an asinine update!! Going insane trying to get to the bottom of a document. Have to put down my mouse and use the laptop touch pad to move up and down.
wow--- do the people at Adobe themselves actually use these programs themselves???

I add my voice to this-- as described, the "modern scrolling experience" -- even if working correctly -- would make our jobs more difficult to do. Adobe, for pity's sake, DO NOT FORCE THIS ON US! If you must add it to keep up with the Joneses, please include the option to use legacy style scrolling.

For me, as well, using Adobe has become very, very difficult! This is such a stupid problem, and it makes using the app so hard. Please fix it NOW!

If Adobe wants to introduce a modern scrolling experience that is responsive during active use they should at least leave the option for users to keep their old scroll bars. I don't think that scroll bars need excessive space.

Is there a timeline for the scroll bar fix? C'mon Adobe, we're waiting...

It's October, and the scroll bars still disappear. I split the screen which made the pages tiny; still no scroll bars. Is this the "modern experience" promised? Does Adobe have something against scroll bars? They still don't appear in Creative Cloud fonts lists.

Hi there
Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.
The new version of Adobe Acrobat (23.06.20360) is now available. Please update the application from the help menu > check for updates and reboot the computer once and see if that works for you.
You may also download the patch manually from the link https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/continuous/dccontinuousoct2023.htm... and check

Amal,
Nice try with this update, but the problem still exists. In the Organize Pages tool, the scroll bar still comes up for only a few seconds, then disappears. This really should be a simple fix. Why are you struggling so hard, to bring back something that was working just fine before. 😤

Now it is almost two months that Acrobat does not give me the tools to work efficiently, I think I will Request another one month extension of my yearly fee! But I also wonder why the technical team does not want to fix this?

The missing bottom/horizontal scroll bar is infuriating!

This was a very bad user experience choice from your engineers. Not having the vertical scroll bar is incredibly handicapping. Bring it back ASAP. While we're at it, all the tools across the top of the window was a much FASTER ux than the tools being split in 3 diff areas (top left, across top, bottom right). Please put the tools back across the top.

Dear Amal,
Your message is marked as "Correct answer by Amal", however, this issue is clearly NOT SOLVED OR CORRECT.
It has been 6 weeks since Adobe downgraded this software in an attempt to make a "modern scrolling experience." I am so frustrated that I am now searching for an Acrobat alternative so I can actually get some work done. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, please give up back the scoll bars!!!!

I suggest FOXIT. My company just switch to Adobe from FOXIT and Adobe is subpar by A LOT.

HORRIBLE CHANGE, wasting all klinds of time and needs to be fixed asap--cannot you see from the feedback that this needed to be tested before you rolled it out? Terrible thing! Not up to Adovev standards at all and obscenely awful!!
