Adobe Pro without Creative Cloud

I need to be able to edit PDF files for an assignment.  I have a monthly plan that will allow me to do this, however in order to use the Acrobat editor I have to install creative cloud.  This takes up way too much space on my computer and is uncecessary because I will never be using illustrator, photoshop, design, etc. The fact that CC wants to update all the time, takes FOREVER and consumes so much space.  Is there away for me to "get" Adobe Pro without all the other junk?
