Adobe wont activate

Recently had to replace my hard drive twice, and re-installed Adobe 8 professional. It install fine but doesn't complete the activation process?

The first replacement it installed fine, the second time the activation doesnt complete so Adobe crashes.  When I chatted with Adobe they recogonize my account as activated.

I dont really want to upgrade, any suggestions?

what problem do you see when starting to activate?

most problems occur during activation because there's a problem connecting to the secure adobe servers.
