Adpbe Acrobat 8 on Windows 8.1 - reinstall

I have Adobe Acrobat 8 which I paid over $200 for, I don't want to pay any monthly fee, I don't want to upgrade to DC and I don't want anything to do with the Cloud. I had to rebuild my machine and now, because I cannot register my SN, I won't be able to use in in 30 days. It was working fine all this time so there must be a way...... I need this activated or tell me how to fix this in the registry.

I have windows 8.1, it has been working fine on this machine until I had to rebuild it. It is working fine now, but I cannot register it and I have read the reason why, so there was no issue until I tried to re-register. I want the work around, I'm technical so there has to be one. I don't care about support, this works for what I do with it, I don't need another version. I want this one to work as it did the day before yesterday.

Unfortunately there is no method or trick that will get your Acrobat 8 working. The activation servers were shut down after 10 years. That's all folks.

Manually uninstall the program  https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/manually-remove-acrobat-8-windows.html  and clear registry entries associated to Adobe Acribat 8 from windows using these steps

Also refer to this other link on how to remove your license registration from that computer, so you don't get stuck in that registration loop:

hi, thank you.  I don't want to remove Adobe Acrobat from the registry, I just want to remove/shut off the key that wants you to register it.  I've checked "never register" and we'll see in 28 days now if it's still working.  I have it working on 3 other laptops,  so the fact that the servers used to register it are shut down does not affect it working whatsoever, tells me there is an answer to get this one working if I have to compare line by line in the directory and the registry.  I clicked on all your links but they seem to want to clear acrobat out of the registry completely....  Am I not getting what you are trying to point out?  thank you for responding
