Question

After latest two updates can't print PDF on my Sharp Printer

I have tried everything:

Completely removing all Adobe readers and printer drivers for the sharp printer, reinstalling. Even tried an alternative reader.

Since the update. only 512 of the data will transmit and it won't print.

Not even when I check Print As Image

Completely at a loss.

I can print from other computers set up the same way.

Hi Yybenedb,

As per the issue description mentioned above, you are unable to print using Adobe Reader, is that correct?

Please try troubleshooting steps given below:

1- Reboot the machine, and try printing again.

2- Have you tried the troubleshooting steps given in this link: Troubleshoot PDF printing in Acrobat and Reader?

3- If yes, try disabling protected mode- launch Reader > click Edit > Preferences >

Under Categories > Security (Enhanced) > untick Enable Protected Mode at startup > click OK and try again.

Please note: Disabling Protected mode is for troubleshooting purpose only, enable protected mode once the troubleshooting is complete.

Could you let us know the version of Adobe Reader installed on the machine: Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC , And, the operating system installed on the machine?

Have you tried printing from other applications? Does that work?

Thank You,

Shivam

1. Yes

2. Yes

3. It now generates: "this document could not be printed" after disabling protected mode

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2017 Release. Version 2017.012.20093

Windows 10 Pro 1703.16257.1

Cannot print from any application.

Hi Yybenedb,

Could you please check if a cleaner tool is available for your printer. If yes, try removing traces of printer's driver, reboot the machine, and install the driver again from the website.

If not, try creating a new user account and launch Reader in it. Please refer to the steps given in the following link on how to create a new user account: https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/4026923/windows-create-a-local-user-or-administrator-account-in-windows-10

Thanks,

Shivam

So thoroughly removing and reinstalling the drivers I have done multiple times. There is no cleaner but there are good step by step directions for completely removing it.

I had not tried creating a new user but have now done so....to no avail.

The new user too cannot print PDFs.
