Please try a different file".

@Juliogguzman Your file, at 435 pages and under 25MB, should theoretically be within those limits. It's a bit confusing, but the AI Assistant is indeed an add-on feature, not a standard part of Acrobat Reader or Acrobat Pro. You have to purchase a separate subscription to use it.
Curious to know how the PF file was created? Because it could also be the way a PDF wass created which could affect compatibility. If the file has unusual formatting, embedded objects, or security restrictions, the AI Assistant might not be able to parse it.

Hi, Im having the same issue! Ive been using the AI assitant with a pdf textbook. Its a large file but it was working great until yesterday, when I started getting the "This file isn't currently supported. Please try a different file" message. I re-downloaded the original pdf (because I noticed my highlighting was increasing the size of the file significantly) but the AI assistant tool is still throwing the "This file isn't currently supported. Please try a different file." message at me! It's driving me nuts, because YOU SUPPORTED IT YESTERDAY!! someone help me please.

Hello!
I hope you are doing well, and we apologize for the trouble you had.
Could you please share more details about the issue? Are you getting any error messages when trying to use the AI assistant services? Is it specific to one PDF or all PDFs? See this article and check if the file adheres to these requirements: https://adobe.ly/3YhSXH6
Also, ensure you are on the latest version of Acrobat installed: 25.001.20474 (Win) | 25.001.20476 (Mac), Apr 28, 2025. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and try again.
If the issue persists, please share a sample file that throws the error message, the current version of the operating system installed, and the logs from the affected machine with us for further investigation.
To collect the logs, download and run the Diagnostics utility at https://adobe.ly/3YmVQpZ. Select "Start Diagnostics." Then, open Acrobat, open your file, and observe the issue. Once finished, select "Stop Monitoring" and share the log ID with us.
Thanks,
Anand Sri.
