All fields are deleted when PDF is sent out for signature (due to recent update)

Hopefully someone here can help me! I've been using the same PDF templates for several years with no issue, but this update definitely seems to have broken something for me. Now when I send a PDF out for signature, all the content in text fields is wiped out, with the message "Unsupported fields have been removed from this document"

 

It still shows which fields I have marked as "required" for the signer, but all fields are blank. Does anyone have an idea what may be going on?

I am struggling with this too. Has there been a fix yet? 


Not that I'm aware of.  Keeping the new version disabled is still working for me though.

 

View --> Disable New Acrobat

Consider the "new Acrobat" as a beta version, many features are still missing or half-implemented.

The issue has been reported, and the team is looking into this. However, we need a test file to replicate the behavior and to check the form field types that do not work.

Would you mind sharing a sample file (any template you are using or creating a new template with similar fields for testing) and the screen recording of the workflow? It would help us to investigate the issue further.

This doesn't appear to have been fixed...or the newest version is doing the same thing?

I'm not sure—the Adobe person said they would update me with their findings when I sent them the requested test files back in October, but I've heard nothing yet. Keeping the "disable New Acrobat" setting enabled is still working for me, though.

 

Seems sort of crazy that almost 5 months later the best solution to keep this paid service functioning properly is still to essentially block any new features/updates lol

Update: I found the setting to "disable New Acrobat" and everything works normally again, so this is definitely an issue stemming from New Acrobat.

Thank you so much! I had the same issue and didn't understand why it was happening. As a photographer, I've been using the same contracts just changing the names, locations, and other fields and I would just send for e-signature but the new update was frustrating. I'm so glad I found you here, thank you for sharing this information. Please Adobe fix that, it is terrible it removed everything and is confusing.
