Question

All form fields print in landscape but my pdf is in portrait. Nothing lines up!

Using Acrobat DC- I have a flat pdf application form that I added form fields to. Everything works perfectly until I go to print, then the text from the form fields prints at a 90 degree angle to the rest of the document. The beginning of each line of text is in the right form field but then it runs up the page, across the rest of the document.

Any ideas of what settings are wrong here? I'm fairly new to this but my googling is usually good. So far no luck.

Well, that's weird.

My guess would be the original PDF has a rotation applied to it, possibly from a non-Adobe application and the form fields don't see it?

You could try flattening the form fields into the page contents using a preflight profile (just for printing purposes).

What was the source application of the original PDF? (under File> Properties)
