I cannot save a PPT as PDF. It says "an error occured while initializing the PDF library. I tried word and it says "Unable to find "Adobe PDF" resource file." I am running the most recent version of acrobat 2020 and office 2019. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

In your shoes, I wouldn't even stop to troubleshoot the save-as-PDF functionality, I'd just switch over to Printing to PDF instead. Do you have an Adobe PDF printer in your printer list?

However, I know that not everyone has the Acrobat PDF printer installed. Do you know if you have Reader installed, or if you have full Acrobat Pro installed? Have you tried any other troubleshooting? For example, have you tried restarting your computer? Have you tried to go to the Help menu in Acrobat to choose "Repair installation"? That last one is what I'd try, if a simple restart or print-to-pdf doesn't work for you.

Hi Joel,

I have pro, I've tried restarting, I've tried 'repai installation' and I've tried print to PDF but it shows up with the big white outlines since it isn't an 8.5x11 format.

Thanks!

Well, then! I could show you how to adjust the paper size to get it to match your PPT, but it seems to me that actually fixing your issue would work far, far better than teaching you how to work around it! Have you seen this thread? The "Correct Answer" walks you through the procedure of reinstalling your PDF printer, and the people in that thread report that it fixes their "Unable to find "Adobe PDF" resource" errors.
