Another 'Improvement'?

Yet another genius "improvement" from the programmers in version 2019.008.20071.  I used to be able to click "fill and sign" and add a GIF of my signature to a document.  But no more.  Now it takes me to this impassable screen.

Thanks morons.  Going to other software.

There is no problem with the signature or the GIF (and I'm unsure why you'd even think that). I see the problem being with the "improvement" in the update. Before, I could very easily put the image (GIF/JPEG/whatever) into the PDF document.  I have attached an example of the finished result.

Now, for some reason, the updated program doesn't do it the way it used to and I get a screen that appears (see original post) that I cannot get past.  If the "improvement" is now that I have to sign in to Adobe to get past this, it's pretty annoying and far from an improvement.

Thanks for sharing the further information.

Adobe Acrobat official update (19.008.20080) containing the fix for this issue is now available. This update will be automatically pushed to all existing installations of Acrobat. If you want, you may also manually trigger the update early by opening the application and going to Help > Check for Updates.

19.008.20080 Optional update, October 22, 2018 — Release Notes for Acrobat DC Products

Let us know if this fixes the issue.

What you are referring above, has never been an option available in Adobe Reader DC or Acrobat DC. You can not add GIF in the signature while using Fill & Sign tool.

Do you have any previously saved document that you show us in which you have used GIF as you signature? It would be easy for us to understand what you exactly you looking for.

If you are referring to adding images in signature, then that option is still there. You may refer to Signing PDFs in Adobe Acrobat

Thanks for the reply. *.jpeg, *.gif  whatever. It now won't work. I used to follow the steps similar to the link that you have provided and that used to work but with the new update it doesn't. It just takes me to that screen that I have attached in my original post and I cannot get past it.

(Sorry, I intended to post a picture of a document showing it but for some reason the attach option is not appearing on my phone. In any case I have a snapshot of my signature ink signature with which I used to sign PDFs. Can't do it anymore. And by the way, in the link that you provided, a GIF is one of the examples that you can use to attach a signature.)

Thanks for the additional information.

Since the problem is with the signature, not only with the GIF. So I would suggest you to once Sign In the Adobe Reader DC with your Adobe ID and password (as the blue bar highlighted) and check if that makes a difference.
