Question

Automate RGB to CMYK functions in Acrobat Pro

Hello,

I currently work for a printing company and in order to make some of the colours on a customer's PDF work with our printers, we open the PDF with acrobat Pro,

go to tools

Print production

Convert Colours

and check the 3 checkboxes: Preserve black, Promote Gray to CMYK Black and Preserve CMYK Primaries

Is there a way to automate this process?

For example a bat file where we feed it a file name and it will do the above conversions to the file?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

You could look into creating preflight droplets… However for serious multi user automation, I’d look into Enfocus PitStop Server.

Sorry for replying to this old Thread.

I'm facing the same Problem - and I'm struggling how to create a preflight droplet with the same effect as Preserve black and Promote Gray to CMYK Black in the Convert Colors does.

Reason why I want to create a droplet is to use it within an action. Using Acrobat Pro X. Any help is appreciated
