Hi Chanh

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described you are getting the Bad Parameter error

Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check

Would you mind sharing the version of the Adobe Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the latest version installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to repair the installation (Win Only) from the help menu > repair installation and see if that works.

If it doesn't work, please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described in the help page https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792...

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Windows or enable the root account in Mac and try using the application there.

Amal

Hi Amal,

Have a good day

After following the instructions from Adobe but the result is still not fixed.
Details:

1. Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check

-> all pdf files have this error.

2. Would you mind sharing the version of the Adobe Acrobat DC you are using?

  • Adobe acrobat Pro DC 2021.005.20060 , updated to the latest version.

3.Also try to repair the installation (Win Only) from the help menu > repair installation and see if that works.

  • repaired -> still got this error

4.Restore the Acrobat Preferences folder (Windows) (https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792...)

  • I can't find the Preferences folder (attached picture)

5.You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Windows or enable the root account in Mac and try using the application there.

  • used 1 account with full admin rights but I can only use Cloud Shapes for the first 1-2 minutes then get this error again

Please check and support this case for me

Thanks

Hi there

We are sorry to hear that. The “Bad Parameter” error occurs when Acrobat finds some problem with the underlying  structure of the tags in the PDF file.

As mentioned the the tool worked well for some time in one account. Pleae try to create a new user account in Windows and then try to use the application there.

You may also try to use the tool in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC appliction (Freeware) and see if that works well for you. You may download the freeware application using the link - https://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

I had this same error because the line thickness was set to 0pt. Open the properties tool bar (CTRL-E on PC) and change the line thickness before trying to use the tool.

In the event this was never soved, I changed the "line thickness" for the cloud line and it started working again without error.  Hope this works for you!
