Batch process outlining fonts

How can I create an action/script for converting font to outlines. I work in a prepress bureau, we have a job that needs font converted to outlines and images converted from RGB to CMYK for over 500 individual pdf files.
How can I speed this process up, we dont have days to open each and convert fonts. There has to be and action or script to do this. I did think of sending the images through batch process in photoshop, but the resultant file sizes are enormous and will crash our presses' RIP.

The client sending us the files has refused to convert the fonts in their files before sending to us because 'it will take them too long' lol.
