'blue' in fillable pdf option Not available

12-12-2021 WHY did ADOBE remove the 'turning on/off' built-in option that was available for fillable forms in the Basic Reader and when ADOBE came up with New Versions AND started Charging ($$) monthly/yearly INSTEAD of selling customers a full license........see  attached......

I have a full licence to Adobe Pro XI,  BUT cannot find my registration in ADOBE.,com Account to download & install on a new laptop that I just bought.....[ I have screenshot showing registration when I bought the program]

The Old Basic Reader 6 was 100% Better than the new Basic Adobe Reader DC.

I was using a friends ADOBE 2020, to create and use a fillable form;  It is confusing & does Not have the features of Pro XI..

ADOBE needs to fix this & STOP Charging $$ for versions that is in-adequate....

it would be nice if ADOBE sees this post AND give the common person the easy option in all versions  !!!!

Again, THANKS for all the help on this matter.........

It's up to you to offer a "Highlight" button to your Acrobat Reader users.

You will find the script in the last post of this topic:

Since now Acrobat's UI is customizable it's up to you to install this tool in the Quick Toolbar.

Hi, JR Boulay, that is a great 'how to', Thanks;  at least that works if a person is using Pro 2020 or another payin-for application as their default..   Basic Reader does not allow adding the shortcut, nor does it show up..

Thanks again to All who assisted..

This feature has simply been moved in the Prepare Form tools pane:

This is also a shortcut to the option in the preferences.

Go to Edit (or the application menu if you're on a Mac) - Preferences - Forms and tick "Show border hover color for fields".

Tick off the box next to "Always hide forms document message bar", in that same spot.

This is a setting of each application, though, not one you can set in your file.

You can activate this in the preferences of Acrobat Reader.

Thanks, Berd Alheit,  for your reply..  In 'Edit > Preferences...' there are a long Categories list.  Looked but  was unable to find any sub-category with the name referring to that matter;  may have missed it..

If it is not too much to ask, Can you kindly give step by step list to where I can locate the option.  Thanks.

At Forms.

There you can also change the color.
