Bookmarks Panel

I created a PDF with Bookmarks Panel set for initial view. When the file is opened in Acrobat Reader, the Bookmarks Panel is displayed. However, after I click one bookmark, the Panel disappears.  How do I get the Panel to remain open unless the user closes it?

There is a setting in your Bookmarks Panel that you likely need to change.  If you click on the Options button at the top of the Bookmarks Panel, there is an option to "Hide After Use".  I'm thinking that you have this turned on, and it is doing what it is designed to do.  If so, click to turn the option off, and that should fix your problem.

I hope this helps.  Let us know.

I couldn't replicate the scenario of having Bookmarks panel to close by itself. On my Mac, Adobe Acrobat Reader 15.23.20056.213124

I clicked on a bookmark that I created with Acrobat Pro DC, page changed showing bookmarked content while the Bookmark panel stayed open.

Please provide more information about your Mac/PC and Acrobat version.

I have a PC, Windows 10 and Acrobat X Standard. Thanks so much.
