Video attched. When I try to calculate a value for a pdf field, it won't accept anything. Not picking fields for basic calculations, simple or custom javascript code. Tried on 2 different computers and confirmed I'm updated to latest version.

Hi @kevin23813526ki5i  and @Frazer23171665k4dh ,

Is this happening on both macOS and Microsoft Windows computers?

If you are on Micrososft Windows, what happens if you repair the installation?

If on macOS, what happens if you uninstall/reinstall Acrobat?

I am having the same issue. Adobe will not accept any input at all for the basic selection option or JavaScript. Every time you close the dialogue window, it wipes everything.

Have tried multiple PDFs and building one from scratch in Acrobat.

Acrobat is such a buggy piece of software it is unreal. Trying to make it function correctly is like trying to solve a riddle.

Select the field properties from the field itself, NOT from the field panel.

I see you're using a Mac.  I don't know how to do this on a Mac but for Windows this usually works:

  • Search Acrobat in Windows search
  • Right-click the app and select Open file location.
  • Right-click the program and select Troubleshoot compatiblity.
  • Select Try recommended settings.

I haven't figured out the equivalent, but I'll keep looking... Thanks

That's really bad.  Have you tried starting over with a newly created PDF?  Could be that the PDF you're working on is corrupted in some way.

I know! I did try several tests, including using a totally different .pdf. Am I alone here? Not finding a lot of people with similar issues. Perhaps using this function isn't that common, and if it's only an issue sometimes, folks don't run into it that often?
