Calibri Italic: different view&print from browsers and acrobat

Hello,

I have a PDF file with mixed Calibri and Calibri Italic fonts, (attached)

PROBLEM1: His appareance is very different between browsers and acrobat reader/pro:

1. Edge

2. Chrome

3. Acrobat (reader or pro) + PDF extra + other editors

PROBLEM2: Printing the PDF, the calibri italic is printed

- in (correct I think) italic in acrobat/pdfextra/etc

- in italic-bold in edge/chrome (same output):

Tested on different PCs with Win10/Win11, different office versions, different acrobat versions etc I have the same result.

I don't understand the difference in visualization and even less in print output.

Any ideas?

Thank you

Most browsers have their own built-in PDF viewers, which do not use Adobe's technology, so anything you see in being rendered incorrectly in the browser is the browser's fault, and Adobe cannot do anything about that.

thanks for the reply,
I know about the different page "rendering" techniques,
but I don't understand why a standard character is PRINTED differently with different applications....

Hi @steradam

Please share the file you are trying to print via various applications. Basically, we can see how are the characters in original file and which application is missing the content or putting something extra to the file contents.

Thanks,
