Can be the drawing tool selected by default when I open Acrobat Pro DC?

I want to repeat the following task hundreds of times in Windows 10 platform:

- open a file

- write few comments with the drawing tool

- close the file

Is there a way that the drawing tool was (already / by default) selected when I open a file with Acrobat Pro DC?

Hi Pablo,

Hope you are doing well. As per the description given above, if we understand correctly, then you are willing to make drawing tool as default selection to add comments on a PDF file, every time you open Acrobat DC. Is that right?

There's no such settings within Acrobat's preferences that can be enabled to make tool selection by default. You can make Hand tool to act as an Select tool, by changing preferences under Acrobat>Edit>General.

What best we can suggest here is to use the Keyboard shortcut for quick selection of Sticky Notes to add comment on PDF. Here is a list of all the Keystroke that can make your job a bit easy https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/keyboard-shortcuts.html

Thanks,

Do you want to add the same exact comments to each file?

No, each file has different comments. I have to correct exams and I want to skip the step of selecting the drawing tool for each file.

Thank you for your response. You understood correctly what I wanted and it is a pity that it is currently not possible, so please consider the suggestion for future updates. Cheers. Pablo
